The Center for Agricultural Resources Research (CARR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), invites applicants for several research group leader positions.
CARR is one of the research organizations in Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). We are seeking high talents who have expertise and a record of accomplishment in research areas related to the simulation of climate, hydrology, agricultural soil water engineering, agricultural water-saving, agro-ecology, forest ecology, agro-environmental health, modern agricultural innovation technologies, crop genetics and breeding, agricultural information, and other related areas.
The appointment of all the above positions will be at Principal Investigator (full professor) level. As such, candidates are expected to hold a PhD degree. The recruitment package consists of three alternatives as follows:
1 The CAS Pioneer Hundred Talents Program (Type C)
Targets candidates ave worked or studied in prestigious overseas universities, institutions or enterprises for over three consecutive years and graduated with a PhD in the last five years. Candidates should have outstanding research innovation, excellent research results, and the potential of becoming a leading figure.
2 The National Young Thousand Talents Plan (http://www.1000plan.org/en/young.html)
Targets applicants engaged in scientific research, below the age of 40, possess a PhD degree, have formal teaching and research (post-doctoral) position in prestigious overseas universities, institutions or enterprises, and are able to work full-time in China. As the elites among peers in certain fields, young professionals shall have the potential of becoming leading figures in the future. Outstanding PhD students can be recruited in exceptional cases.
3 The National Thousand Talents Program (http://www.1000plan.org/en)
The Recruitment Program for Innovative Talents (long-term) targets people under 55 years of age who are willing to work in China on a full-time basis, with full professorship or the equivalent in prestigious foreign universities or R&D institutes, or with senior titles from well-known international companies.
